We’re not a staffing agency. Every Tom’s Coffee barista arrives as part of a fully managed coffee bar setup – bar, machine, coffee and consumables included – so the quality of every cup is in our hands from start to finish.

Built for High-Volume Events

Our baristas are specialists in busy event environments. A single Tom’s Coffee bar with one barista serves 500+ drinks per exhibition or office day, at a pace of 150+ drinks per hour per setup. In June 2026 – our busiest month since the business began in 2005 – the team served 21,831 drinks across 76 events.

Meet the Barista Team

The barista team is headed by Freddie, our Head of Events, who has worked alongside Tom for more than 10 years and is your main point of contact once your booking is confirmed. He leads our event baristas – Ewan, Kai, Fai, Steve, Lucy and Chloe – while Miguel runs the booking team.

The Coffee They Serve

Our baristas work with beans from River Coffee Roasters, fully traceable single-origin coffee sourced through direct trade above the Fairtrade baseline. Barista Hire FAQs

Can I hire a barista without a coffee bar?

No – our baristas always work as part of a fully managed Tom’s Coffee setup, arriving with our own bar, espresso machine, grinder, cups and stock. It’s how we guarantee the same quality at every event. If you only need equipment, our short-term coffee machine hire service may be what you’re looking for.

How many drinks can one barista serve?

A single barista on one of our bars serves 500+ drinks per event day, at over 150 drinks per hour per setup.

Are your baristas uniformed and experienced?

Yes. Every barista is uniformed and experienced in high-volume event service, led by our Head of Events, Freddie. Tom’s Coffee has been serving events since 2005.

What drinks can your baristas serve?

The full espresso menu plus tea and hot chocolate, with decaf and alternative milks available. We also offer dedicated matcha latte bars and hot chocolate bars.
